Dree greetings
ITANAGAR, July 4: Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt. Gen (Retd) Nirbhay Sharma and Chief Minister Nabam Tuki have conveyed warm greetings and good wishes to the people of state on the auspicious occasion of Dree.
In his festive message, the Governor wished that this year’s festival will usher in peace and tranquility in the society.
The Governor said that the Dree festival, which is an agricultural rite, highlights the vibrant culture and traditions of the Apatani Tribe. It is one of the cultural identities of the community and at the same time reinforces the splendid cultural fabric of the society. He appealed to the learned elders and youth to take pride in their ethnicity and customs and preserve it.
On this occasion, I join my Apatani brethren in offering our prayers to Almighty Danyi Pulo for happiness and prosperity for all, the Governor said in his message.
Chief Minister Nabam Tuki expressed hope that the festival of the Apatanis will cement the bonding between various tribes of the state living in bonhomie since ages. In a message on the eve of the festival, Tuki said, “I join my Apatani brothers and sisters on joyous occasion of Dree and pray for a prosperous year ahead with bumper harvest!”
He also called upon everyone to join the festival and extend solidarity as proud Arunachalees.
“Ours is a distinct state with several tribes and communities residing side by side for ages and maintaining their own unique indigenous culture and traditions. Despite our varied diversity and religious affiliations we as Arunachalees are united and take pride in our indigenous cultural heritage. Let this Dree take our bonding a notch higher,” Tuki added.
APSCW condemns gang rape

AAPSU urged to call off bandh
ITANAGAR, July 4: In view of the 36 hrs bandh from July 9, the Deputy Commissioner, Capital Complex held a meeting with AAPSU executive members led by its General Secretary yesterday.
He appealed to AAPSU to call off its proposed bandh, citing the difficulties being faced by the general public particularly patients, daily wage workers, vendors, students & learners. He also said development works are severely affected due to frequent bandhs. He apprised the AAPSU delegates about the SBI sponsored coaching programme and recruitment drive to be held at Itanagar for the benefit of Arunachalees, which also falls on proposed bandh date, which he said, would deprive the aspiring candidates. He also asked the AAPSU to honour the order of the Supreme Court and reiterated his appeal to AAPSU to reconsider its decision and call off the bandh in the largest interest of the public and state as a whole. Power crisis hits Bomdila
BOMDILA, July 4: The district headquarters Bomdila continues to reel under darkness
for the thirteenth day in a row. Uncertainty looms large as to the exact nature and
extent of the damage caused to the tower(s) in between Nechiphu and Saddle in the
district owing to the heavy downpour on June 21-
Fed up of the deteriorating power scenario in the district particularly in the district headquarters in the recent past despite claims of up gradation and modernization, people today took to the streets at Bomdila expressing their anguish and disappointment.
The protestors including people from all walks of life expressed their reservations on the attitude and work culture of various government departments especially that of the engineering & essential services departments of the district.
However, there was no any law & order problem or cases of stone pelting and damaging of properties etc. The district Police led by ASP D Jini and OC I Ete in the field, facilitated the smooth passage of the protestors in and around Bomdila Township in a very peaceful and tactical manner.
Abandoned new born infant found in jungle
ROING, July 4: A new born infant was found from the adjoining forest area near the Meka Village some about 5 km from Roing, district headquarter of Lower Dibang Valley District on June 2 last.
Lenni Saring, a class x student along with his two friends from Meka Village found the infant lying on the ground under a tree covered with mud and ants around the body & faces ON June 2 last. They took the baby to the village and handed it over to an elderly woman of the village, who bathed, feed and took care of the baby and later took the baby to the district hospital for treatment.
The matter was also reported to the Police Station, Roing and the investigation is on to nab the mother of the child.
The baby has suffered some minor injury on the right side of the face and the back of the body which might be inflicted while struggling for survival also have some marks of ant bites.
The infant having white complexion with a tribal look has cleft lip and naval cord intact still. The doctor says the cleft lip will be operated free of cost when the baby turns 6 months of age.
Meanwhile, Sukurbar Lego of Remgeng Village (Meka) and his wife is taking care of the baby and are expressed their wiliness to adopt the baby as their own son. DIPRO

ITANAGAR, July 4: Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju today called for tackling development issues from strategic angle.
“Many of the development activities happening in the state fail to meet aspirations. We need to see development from strategic angle to ensure better flow of funds, better guidelines, better execution. We need to have holistic approach,” the MOS said while addressing media persons at Banquet hall here this evening.

To tackle the militancy issue and to restore peace in the region, he advocated for unified command and work in close coordination with the neighbouring state.
He further informed that his ministry will soon appoint an interlocutor to talk with NSCN (IM).

Informing that the Government of India has decided for relaxation of PMGSY guidelines in Arunachal Pradesh for the welfare of the state and its people at large, he said that modalities have also been worked out for granting extra package for BADP fund for the state, a comprehensive package for infrastructure development in border areas, providing basic amenities like electricity, drinking water, road connectivity, besides creating lots of employment avenues. This would discourage migration of people from border areas to urban areas and promote border management, the MoS added.
Initiative has also been taken up for inclusion of Arunachal Pradesh in the 50 listed tourist circuits of Govt of India, he informed and hoped that this would bring the state in the tourism map of the country. However, he mentioned that although state has huge tourism potentials, lots of bottlenecks like lack of infrastructures, security problem and poor road communication posed the challenges. Rijiju was also hopeful to get some allowances for the state under “Mission Himalaya” as being a Himalayan state for projects relating to protection of the Himalaya.
While in the meeting, the Union MoS reviewed the Border Area Development Programme (BADP), law and order situation and internal security matters relating to the state besides taking up the issues for police modernisation, infrastructural development, logistic support to police force and status of disaster management in the state.
Chief Minister Nabam Tuki in his presentation highlighted the important issues relating to the state including hydro power, tourism, horticulture and allied sectors, besides social sector issues, increase of revenue generation for self sustenance and growth, generation of more employment to youths in various activities etc. He also mentioned on the wider development issues, security concerns including the need to ensure higher allocation of fund for focussed development of border areas and supporting other economic activity including fast tracking the road and hydro power infrastructure projects. Earlier, state’s Home Minister Tanga Byaling while welcoming all to the meeting stressed on modernization of state police, infrastructure development and other logistic support to the police force.

Mossang highlights factors causing
price hike in Arunachal
ITANAGAR, July 4: The conference of Ministers and Secretaries of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution of States/ UTs was today held at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi under the chairmanship of Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley. The meeting was presided over by Minister Food, Public Distribution & Consumer Affairs Ram Vila Paswan and attended by Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh and MoS, Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution R. D Danve. The key agenda for the conference was to find out ways and means to arrest the price rise of essential commodities and to know the latest implementation status of NFSA. The matter relating to Consumers Affairs were discussed exclusively during the first half of the conference particularly on effective enforcement of Essential Commodities Act 1955 and to evolve strategies to prevent abnormal hike in food prices. The status of implementation of NFSA was dwelt at length during the second session.
The Food & Civil Supplies Minister of Arunachal, Kamlung Mosang appreciated the urgent preventive measures initiated by the GoI to control the burgeoning price rise by involving state /UT Governments. He highlighted the factors effecting abnormal hike in price of essential commodities in frontier state. Due to factual problems like difficult terrain, hostile climatic condition and remoteness, the transporters are reluctant to transport consumer items to Arunachal Pradesh. The traders are compelled to pay higher transportation charges due to the communication bottlenecks resulting in exorbitant price rise of essential items in the state which is strategically located. The prices of essential commodities in the state of Arunachal Pradesh are mainly affected by the prevailing prices in the market of neighbouring state of Assam due to non availability of scientific storage facilities in the state. Most of the district headquarters in Arunachal Pradesh are located about 200 to 500 KMs away from the railway head markets of Assam from where the essential commodities are supplied for the open markets in Arunachal Pradesh.
“It is an irony that when most parts of India are reeling under shortfall of rainwater (Monsoon), this year while people in Arunachal Pradesh in particular and the entire North East region as a whole are suffering due to flood and landslide because of the incessant rains. The Monsoon has badly affected the surface communication of Arunachal Pradesh. Today, most of the district headquarters including state capital are cut off from the rest of the country due to the flood, landslides and other calamities caused by the wrath of nature. The landslides, mud sliding and flood have destroyed standing crops, thereby causing untold hardships to the farmers. Whole Northeast region including Arunachal Pradesh receives maximum volumes of rainfall, especially during the Monsoon which greatly hampers the delivery system,” Mossang informed the gathering.

is slightest inefficiency in ensuring regular supply of essential commodities within
NFSA, he added. There are challenges in implementation of NFSA in border state as
NFSA entitlements are legally enforceable, litigations can only increase and compromise
the overall financial health of the state which is solely dependent on the Central
Government for most of its basic needs. GoI was requested to review the present HTS
scheme in the context of NFSA and introduce a system in Arunachal Pradesh whereby
the central assistance/subsidy for implementation of the NFSA, 2013 is parked in
advance with the State Exchequer without routing it through the FCI. Such a system
alone can ensure timely payments to the transporters and thereby ensure compliance
with the implementation of the NFSA 2013. If the present system cannot be replaced
by a more State-
The GoI has been requested to declare all FPS locations as distributions centres instead of 1(one)/ Single PDC in the districts for the purpose of claiming HTS in the state from GOI. The imposition of Principal Distribution Centre (PDC) system in the management of TPDS in the State of Arunachal Pradesh is found to be more detrimental to the smooth functioning of PDS management. The concept of PDC which is only meant for restricting transport subsidy on PDS items upto a declared PDC only restricting extending PDS services to the people settled in the remote and international borders needs to be reviewed.
Unlike other States, Arunachal Pradesh cannot arrange resources for pay and allowances of the State Food Commission and its staff due to resource constraints. GoI has been requested to make funds available to the State for the SFC constituted under the NFSA, 2013. The tentative financial requirement is Rs 2.64 crores per annum to enable effective functioning of the same. In order to implement the End to End computerization of TPDS in the whole State, adequate central funding is urgently needed as per the State’s requirements.
Mosang reiterated earlier demand to enhance 5 kg to 8kg per head entitlement under NFSA as people of Arunachal Pradesh consume rice three times a day. If it is restricted to 5 kgs per person per month, the consumers in the state will face untold miseries as there is no production of food grains and no open market facility available in most of the places in the State. Moreover, the shortfall of 2112 MT under Priority Households by excluding the tide over allocation for Arunachal Pradesh should be enhanced to 59112 MT per year as against the earmarked quantity of 57000 MT per year.
Arunachal Pradesh has peculiar problem of dependency on SK Oil for heating purpose. Due to the blanket ban on felling of trees by the Environment & Forest Ministry the common people living in the high altitude districts are forced to rely on SK Oil for heating purpose. There are few districts which require special allocation of SKO for heating purpose as the present SKO allocation is meant for illumination and cooking purpose. Therefore, it was requested for additional allocation of 150 KL per month for 8 (eight) months with effect from August to March every year.
As cost of sugar in open market is beyond the reach of consumers, the State Government

Ensure uninterrupted service to people: Governor to BSNL
ITANAGAR, July 4: Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt Gen (Retd) Nirbhay Sharma today asked the BSNL authorities to ensure uninterrupted service to the people of the state.
The Governor advised senior telecom officers to go for holistic planning and implementation of programmes in the state to meet the challenges when BSNL chief general managers (Telecom) of North East circle I and II D P Singh and B C Nagaraju called on him at Raj Bhawan here this morning.
Sharma pointed out that many places in the state are yet to have proper road and telecommunication facilities and said, good telecommunication service would be a boon to the people, especially in disaster management and medical emergencies. He advised them to have proper coordination with the state departments for speedy implementation of the projects. Earlier, the officials apprised the governor on the challenges faced by telecom sector in the state.

NBCC & APCRCC oppose IFCSAP demands

ITANAGAR, July 4: The Nyishi Baptist Church Council (NBCC) and Arunachal Pradesh Christian Revival Church Council (APCRCC) today strongly criticized the Indigenous Faith & Cultural Society of Arunachal Pradesh (IFCSAP) for opposing the implementation of MsDP schemes till a proper data assessment of minority list is prepared. Both the organizations also opposed the demand of the IFCSAP for implementation of the Arunachal Pradesh Freedom of Religion Act 1978 and advocated for uniform protection of all religions.
Addressing a joint press conference by NBCC and APCRCC at Press Club here, NBCC president Techi Tara, while expressing resentment over the IFCSAP’s opposition to implementation of MsDP schemes, said that the MsDP scheme is a centrally sponsored scheme for the benefit of religious minority communities. “It is not an individual beneficial scheme, rather it is a common infrastructure development scheme where everyone will be benefitted if implemented,” said Tara. While commenting on IFCSAP’s demand for surrendering of ST certificates (by minorities), Tara said “Article 366 of Indian Constitution specifies scheduled tribes from existing primordial tribe.” ST is just an official document issued for administrative convenience. Nobody can demand for surrender of ST status which would amount to tinkering with presidential list of order excepted by act of Parliament, he pointed out.
Opposing the demand of the IFCSAP for immediate implementation of Arunachal Pradesh Freedom of Religion Act 1978 (APFR Act 1978), Tara said the Act prohibits conversion from one faith to another. He suggested the state govt to suitably amend the APFR Act 1978 so as to provide uniform protection to all the religions.
Echoing the sentiment of NBCC president, APCRCC president Tarh Kama also heavily came down on IFCSAP saying that “No Christian community of state is receiving any kind of package under minority scheme as alleged by IFCSAP.” Stating that the freedom of religion is a constitutional right and the prime objective of Christianity is to bring peace and create conducive atmosphere in the society, he appealed the state govt to repeal the APFR Act 1978.

to the Union Minister of state for Home Kiren Rijiju seeking his intervention for
repealing "The Arunachal Pradesh Freedom of Religion Act 1978 and for proper implementation
of 'Multi Sectoral Development Programmes for Minorities' (MsDP scheme) in the state.
While denouncing the demand of the IFCSAP for implementation of the APFR Act-

ITANAGAR, July 4: The Students’ Union Movement of Arunachal Pradesh (SUMA) today vociferously opposed the move for creation of Mon and Patkai Autonomous District Councils (ADCs) in the state saying it would invite floodgate of disintegration and promote mistrust among various tribes in the state. SUMA has constituted its own committee headed by its vice President (Protocol) Tagru Tame as chairman to fight the issue.
Addressing the presspersons in a press meet held at Press Club here this afternoon, Tagru Tame downplayed the grounds on which the local representative of those regions headed by Tourism and Urban Development Minister Pema Khandu has been pursuing the Centre for early creation of autonomous council. Referring the provisions under Sixth schedule of the Indian Constitution, Tame stated that Arunachal Pradesh cannot be equated with Assam in term of granting autonomous district council. There is a justification in granting the autonomous council in Assam as the tribal population in Assam has been feeling the sense of deprivation, but in Arunachal Pradesh this ground is not applicable since the state is purely tribal state and every district in Arunachal has been deprived of infrastructural development. SUMA General Secretary Franklin Naloiju said, “We do not want to see divided Arunachal, the creation of autonomous region would send wrong message to the outside world”. He further opined that people lobbying for creation of autonomous council should refrain from doing it.
The organisation also questioned Tourism and Urban Minister Pema Khandu’s motive behind pursuing the matter with the centre for early creation Mon Autonomous Council.
Government has done enough for Tawang, Tirap and Changlang districts in the developmental front by creating separate department, SUMA categorically said adding no other districts enjoy such privilege in term of development.

The SUMA also appealed to the state government to review its resolution which was passed in the floor of house in February 2004 for creation of Mon and Patkai Autonomous district councils.
SUMA demanded enhancement of border area developmental programe fund and streamlining of educational policy of the state with special attention to the Government College Bomdila, Wangcha Rajkumar Government College Khonsa and Rang Farah Government College Changlang. It also appealed to the government to set up Special Investigation Team (SIT) to identify the Tibetan refugee settlers in West Kameng and Tawang districts.
Other demands of the SUMA included reservation of hostel seats in RGU for students from Mon and Patkai region, enhancement of fund in the department of Kharmik and Adhyatmik and Department of Tirap Changlang and Longding Affairs from Rs 25 crores to 50 crores and creation of post of additional inspector general of Police to monitor law and order problem in Tirap, Changlang and Longding districts.

Emphasizing on improving the scenario of schools and its infrastructural developments the local MLA also directed the DDSE to take up measures to post teachers in the schools wherever it is required.He also expressed that infrastructure must be created in well planned manner that too after studying the feasibility and need of the public and it should not be constructed randomly.
Nabam Aka Zilla Parishad Chairperson requested Rebia to take step for construction of a conventional Hall for the District and setting up Division Office of Power and PHE at Yupia.

State’s vital issues need to be addressed on priority: Governor
Itanagar, July 4: Kiren Rijiju called on the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh Lt. Gen. (Retd) Nirbhay Sharma at Raj Bhawan here today. They discussed on various issues pertaining to development, law and order in the state, police modernization, border areas and interstate boundaries.
The Governor emphasized that acknowledging the sensitivity of this Frontier State, the vital issues need to be addressed in priority, which hampering the growth, development and progress of the state.
Rijiju, assured the Governor for the immediate redressal of issues raised in the meeting. Secretary to Governor Shurbir Singh was also present in the meeting.
Coordination meeting of principals, headmasters held
KHONSA, July 4: The first ever coordination meeting of the Principals, Headmasters, Block Education Officers, Block Resource Centres, Circle Resource Centres and Clustered Resource Centres of Education department of Tirap and Longding districts was held at NBF hall, Khonsa today.
While addressing the participants, Tirap Deputy Commissioner who is also the Chairman of various flagship programmes under Education departments said that he had noted down the genuine problems expressed by the participants and assured of prompt necessary action wherever feasible adding that those related with government policy matters could not be changed at his level.
Joshi expressed utter dissatisfaction over the abysmal performance of the BEOs and asked them to inspect the implementation of the schemes in all the schools under their jurisdiction physically and submit proper reports to the DDSE.
He told them that they should not only know their rights but should also know their onerous onus in the interest of the department and the district. The Deputy Commissioner emphatically said that the BEOs should collect correct data by visiting the schools and not compile by sitting in their offices.

Tirap DDSE Pubi Lombi said that he had already discussed with the highest authorities regarding the shortage of subject teachers in many of the schools in Tirap and Longding districts. Law and order situation reviewed in the wake of proposed AAPSU bandh
AALO July 4: In the wake of 36 hours bandh call given AAPSU from July 9, a coordination meeting with public leaders, Principals and Bazar Secretaries was held under the Chairmanship of West Siang Deputy Commissioner Ravi Dhawam at Conference Hall of DC Office today.
Initiating the discussion, the DC said that administration and police have no intention to come in direct confrontation with the student community but law and order problems that may likely arise out of the bandh call and any breach of public peace and tranquility has to be tackled and countered in consultation with senior citizens and public leaders of the district. As the market places have been the soft targets of bandh callers in the past, the bazaar Secretaries demanded full proof security at all market places, which was agreed by the District Administration. AIMSU writes to health and family welfare minister

Roing, July 4: The District Hospital in Anini lacks basic facilities prescribed as per the Indian Public Health Standard (IPHS), the All Idu Mishmi Students Union (AIMSU) in a letter to the Minister of Health and Family Welfare Kalikho Pul has said.
The union requested the Ministry for allocation of required number of doctors, specialists, hospital equipments, staffs, nurses and basic infrastructures as per the IPHS standard.
The district hospital is being looked after by 3 Medical Officers and 7 ANMs of which only 4 are regular staff. For almost 10 years, it has been running without a regular staff nurse. The hospital requires a public health nurse, general surgeon, OT attendant, obstetrician, gynecologist, pediatrician anaesthetists, ophthalmologist, the union urged.
It submitted a list of equipments required for hospital such as ECG machine, ultra sound facilities, internet, Incubator, Intercom facility, needle and syringe destroyer.
The union said that local women are unaware of schemes aimed at pregnant and lactating women such as National Maternity Benefit Scheme (NMBS) and Janani Suraksha Yojana (JSY). Due to lack of basic services required for preventing maternal mortality and infant mortality, a pregnant woman have to go to Roing district hospital covering 238 km from Anini for delivery, said the union.
The worst affected are poor patients, pregnant women, infant child, and poor villagers. Alleging that the people of Dibang Valley are being neglected with poor health delivery system, the union said that even today, the government is not able to provide basic health care.
This has caused innumerable loss of human lives through infant death, maternal mortality, and deaths from malaria, tuberculosis, hepatitis B & C.
Many of these deaths are not officially recorded, the union alleged and said that the state's failure to provide basic services has strongly hurt the poor members of scheduled tribe.

While terming the ‘incident of July 25 wherein AAPSU President Kamta Lapung was injured’ as very unfortunate, the AGSU appealed AAPSU to reconsider their demand for termination of SDPO in greater interest of the government employees who are sacrificing everything for the service of the state in particular and nation in general. “As the department concern has constituted an inquiry committee to unearth the facts related to the incident at police station Itanagar on 25th June 2014, AGSU would like to appeal AAPSU to reconsider their demand for termination of SDPO for greater interest of the government employees,” the release said. At the same time AGSU appealed the CoSSAP to refrain from giving ‘any kind of twisted statement,’ saying that AAPSU is spearheading the issues related to the welfare of people.
Meanwhile, the AGSU has urged the state Govt to fulfill its various demands submitted earlier. The CM had given assurance to fulfill the demands like creation of LSD with declaration of headquarter, revamping of Nigmoi Fruit processing centre, establishment of fire service station at Kamba, establishment of Polytechnic college at West Siang, infrastructure development of DPGC Kamki, shifting of Likabali police check gate but none of the demands are fulfilled by the state government yet, it resented.

IDEA & Caritas India organize Malaria training progs for ASHA
DOIMUKH, July 4: Itanagar Diocesan Empowerment Association (IDEA) and Caritas India in collaboration with District Vector Borne Disease Control Programme (DVBDCP) Papumpare have organized two batches of ASHA training on Malaria Prevention & Control as per the national guidelines at CHC Doimukh from June 30 to July 1st July and July 3 to 4.
The intention of the training was to capacitate ASHA for early diagnosis and prompt treatment of all malaria cases and for bringing down the morbidity and mortality. ASHAs have tremendous role in sensitizing the community for adopting effective preventive measures the effective use of bed nets and indoor residual spray (IRS). The resource persons of the training were Dr. Nabam Takang, medical Officer of Community Health Centre Doimukh, T P Tara, Consultant of District Vector Borne Disease Control Programme Yupia and Jumli Angu, Malaria Technical Supervisor of Community Health Centre Doimukh. Moreover District Malaria Officer of Papumpare district Tatung Tayang and Dr. P.J Sarma, the Consultant of SVBDCP Arunachal Pradesh also made a special visit to CHC Doimukh to monitor the training programme and also guided ASHA workers to deliver the service more effectively.
IDEA in partnership with Caritas India (NGO) has been supporting DVBDCP in terms of organizing ASHA training at whole Papum Pare district under the guidelines of National Vector Born Disease Control Programme. 25 ASHAs are being trained in two batches under CHC Doimukh in spite of heavy rain falls and road block due to land slide. Allegedly, on June 23, the main accused offered to drop the girl to school, but instead of taking her to school, he took her to an isolated place some 18 KM from Pasighat. The boy after sexually assaulting her invited two of his friends to join him. They kept the girl in illegal confinement for three days and moved her to different locations where they raped her. It is hard to believe that Arunachalee tribal people are indulging in such kind of heinous act. No doubt criminals should not be seen through the prism of religion and community but many Arunachalees are struggling to accept the fact that their fellow tribal people will commit such kind of criminal act. Till now we use to think that such incidents only take place in Metro cities. However brutal incidents of rape, kidnapping and murder which is rising rapidly in Arunachal shows that this state is no more a safe place. Adding to the problem, our police forces have not been modernized yet. Government need to equip police with latest technology to fight the criminals.

Woes of NRHM contractual staffs

Through your esteemed daily I on behalf of the NRHM Contractual Staffs of Arunachal
Pradesh would like draw the kind attention of higher authorities of NRHM as well
as Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh. The NRHM contractual staffs are going to die of starvation
owing to non release of salary since April, 2014. Beside this, we are facing lots
of scarcities, which I want to highlight point wise. (1) Some NRHM contractual staffs
are getting very meager amount of salary. Medical Officer (M.O.) gets paid Rs 15000/-
Some of the NRHM Contractual staffs have been serving for the last 5 to 6 years but have not been regularized yet. Though the file has been processed countless time for regularization of the contractual staffs of NRHM but has never been materialized. Therefore, I would like to appeal to the CoSAAP to take up this issue very seriously.

So many days, weeks, months and year have been passing but we are still waiting to
receive our land compensation alongwith 12% interest per annum and 30% solatium on
land value within the Jurisdiction of Pakke-
I. Land Value.
II. Add 12% per annum as interest on land value to be calculated from the date of publication of notification under section 4(1) of the Land Acquisition Act,1894 to the date of award or date of section taking possession of lands before declaring the award(by applying Urgency Clause) whichever is earlier.
III. Add 30% (Lump Sum) solatium on land value.
IV. Add cost of standing trees and/or any other assets on the land.
In this regard we filed a writ petition at Gauhati High Court permanent bench Naharlagun for justice and immediate release of land compensation with 12% interest and 30% solatium but there has been no reaction from District Level Land Acquisition Committee, East Kameng District.
